One of the things I love about families going on holidays is the idea of a reliable dad driving in the front. It could easily be a reliable mum, but for us it was always a reliable dad. The sort of dad (or mum) that always drives carefully, but gets the family interesting places with a minimum of fuss and complaint. I want to be a dad like that. Although the more I thought about it, the more I thought that being the dad in the front of the car filled with kids, which is going at 110km/hr, is probably the worst and most stressful job in the world. Which perhaps makes it all the more important that someone reliable does it.
I don't know if that made sense.
On a slightly different note, I just saw our chicken playing with the King's chicken. Or at least pecking together amicably. In terms of highlights today, seeing them together is right up there with driving through Mooball this morning.
