Howie, Jo, Helen and I went the the Bacardi Latino Music Festival tonight. Tinku was going to come. Jo French might have come if I'd been able to call her. Beth would have come if it wasn't raining. And probably lots of other people would have come if they'd known how good it was going to be. But in the end it was just the four of us. And four better people you're not likely to find. Not to mention that four is a good number for 500, so any more would have been, in once sense, a burden.
On the way there Howie and I got to see some leet construction equipment. Big drills and stuff for the cross-city tunnel. Very exciting. There were some girls with a lot of potential who did some dancing lessons at the beginning. Exept it was so wet, that they discouraged people from joining in, since it would have been too dangerous. Howie and I thought perhaps that their potential wasn't being fully realised, so we went and played frisbee for a bit. We played under the freeways at Darling Harbour. Howie nearly hit some people, but overall we did pretty well.
Then Jo and Helen showed up.
My feet are totally pruned from the being wet all night. It was quite wet. Every now and then it would stop raining. Then it was just humid.
We just bummed around between the stage and the food court. Howie would periodically hit or insult Jo. She'd hit or insult him back. I tried to get to the bottom of Helen's fear of frisbee. Some drummers drummed for a bit in the food court. One of them was very white and skinny and British-looking. All the others were muscley, brown and Jamaican-looking.
We danced for a tiny bit. Jo and Helen did for longer. By the time I decided to, it was almost at the end. Howie didn't want to dance because he has a gammy lef.
This seemed much more interesting while it was actually happening. I'll hurry it up. Then the music finished. Then we played cards. Then we walked to Town Hall. We played a bit more frisbee. Helen didn't play. Although she doesn't seem to mind just throwing. We're going to get a soft frisbee to use when Helen plays, since she doesn't like the hard ones.
Went home on the train. Howie and I played frisbee on the train for a little while. It made heaps of noise when we didn't catch it though.
I think that's all.
Tomorrow I reckon that I'd like to go canoeing. I don't know if we have any life-jackets.
