Hurray. Everything seems to be fixed. I restored the old posts. I may have duplicated some though. I had to do it a bit manually and the entry IDs crossed over a tad. I just looked and there are a couple of duplicates. But I don't want to delete the extras in case I bugger it up. I did anyway. I hope it's OK.

I found out why the .htaccess kept reverting back to an old version. Silly old me had made it a linked template in Movable Type. I had assumed it would just be an editing interface to the file, but it actually stores the whole thing in the database.

I still haven't rung Stella or Emily. Anyone reading this probably can guess what their passwords are. If you see them, can you let them know. Thanks.

We're really starting to get stuck into the Respite Vacancy Search system at work. It's good fun. I started writing my first software specification this afternoon. It's really exciting. A bit like starting a new book or something. Or squeezing yourself a glass of orange juice. The process itself isn't inherently fun, but the enables you to do something that's so much fun that you forget that what you're doing is even work. Programming and drinking fresh juice have a lot in common really.
