Yesterday Tom and I went running. When I arrived at his house I had to put my shoes on, and while I was a woman walked past me. She said "Hi". And in reply I said "Hi" also. That was weird enough, because people aren't usually very friendly at that time of morning. It's rare enough to find someone to reply to my "Hi"s, much less someone who starts their own ones. Then she said "Do you do swimming?" I said I did, assuming that she must have seen me up at Hornsby pool. I asked "Yes. Do you swim up at Hornsby?" She said "No, my sons do squads." I said "At Hornsby." She said "No, at Galston." And fortunately the conversation ended their and she walked off.
Although we ran past her a little while later, so I said "Hi" again in as friendly a way as I could (which was quite friendly for a person without much breath). Just so she wouldn't think that I thought she was strange for asking me such a funny question.
