The rat (or rats actually) came back tonight. But mum had shut the window because her nerves were too badly frayed to cope with another egg battle. They're both very small. But with big ears, so they're extra cute. They ran backwards and forwards along the window sill for a bit, trying to get in. I was tempted to open the window for them, but we held strong. I'll put the compost out for them in the morning.
