There was no article with the title Oh dear me, a lot of explosives have coincidentily been stolen from different places in the same week. No journalists suggesting that there is a chance they're related. Neither article references the other article. Just how often do these sorts of things happen? How many people in Australia would have a need for grenades? How many people want them enough to steal them from the army? Who is going to steal 3.5 tonnes of ammonium nitrate, when getting caught is guaranteed to have you spending a lot of time in prison as a suspected terrorist? The Oklahoma bombing used about 2 tonnes. Who needs 3.5 tonnes? It only costs $160/tonne (or did in 2000). If you only wanted to blow up stuff on your farm, why wouldn't you just buy it and go through the identity checks? That's assuming there even are identity checks.

The stupid thing is, getting the ammonium nitrate is the "hard" part. Now they just have to get diesel. Very dodgy. Silly government. Silly newspapers.
