Hannah and I spent almost the whole day today playing. It was great fun. We spent so much time on the trampoline, and now my head hurts. But it was worth it, because for the first time ever, I outbounced Hannah. She got off the trampoline before I did, which has never happened before. So I felt pretty good about that. It got me thinking about starting a trampoline soc at uni. I want to get/make a really huge one. I wonder if the bigger it gets, the higher you bounce, or if it gets to a certain size and you stop bouncing higher. I'd like to find out. I might ask someone in the engineering department, if they can model it or something.
We went to the park, and took a boat to Istanbul to get some turkish pide. Except we couldn't find any when we got there, so we just swang on the turkish swings instead. It started to rain while we were there. For a while we squashed into the tunnel part of the slippery dip to keep dry, but gave up and went back to the car (via plane because we would have got too wet if we'd taken the boat).
Then we had some chips. We had to wait for ages, and Hannah punched and pulled and yanked the hair of the girl sitting next to us. Though the girl was very patient with us and didn't hit back. I guess when you're 18, you have to act mature.
After that was swimming. Hannah had done a poo in her pants, and we were already running late, so I had to get her ready really quickly. She had a great time at the pool. Such simple stuff gives her so much joy. I love it.
Got home from the pool to find she'd done another poo. More cleaning. More trampolining, but this time Hannah outlasted me. But we jumped until my head hurt from my brain bumping around in my skull.
Then, after a super quick tantrum, it was time to go pick up John from Epping. We saw some of the Bradbury's and Hannah tested the structural integrity of various interesting (and probably expensive) things in their house.
I had a great day. I hope Hannah did too.
Jane dropped mum off, and said something about it being inappropriate that I (a man) was looking after Hannah (a girl) by myself. Jane didn't seem like she was joking, but I'm not sure.
Of course I wasn’t serious you twirp! You’re easily big enough to fight Hannah off if she starts to get over familiar with you.
