We went at saw Troy. It was good but way silly. Brad Pitt was funny funny, with the poses and the muscles and the achingly meaningful gazes into yonders.

Then I came home and watched most of Open Your Eyes, which Vanilla Sky was based on. I liked Vanilla Sky heaps more. The main character in Open Your Eyes was so utterly repugnant, that I spent the entire film wanting bad things to happen to him. As the romance started I just felt miserable. Tom Cruise was selfish, but far more likeable. He really seemed to care what people thought of him, and tried, in his own way to be a good person. This guy was a total pig. I think some of the interest was lost because of that. The script of Vanilla Sky was better too I think although, as Jem said, it's hard to tell with sub-titles. And blah blah blah.
