I reckon I found the problem with lighttpd. I think it was deadlocking because Blogfeed makes three additional requests of its own. It doesn't explain why it would completely freeze up and die, but I probably explains why it wasn't very happy. I wonder if the reason lighttpd doesn't use much memory is because it doesn't do very much.

Update: I've discovered that lighttpd dies at exactly 6:26 every morning. I now have a script that restarts it, but gee it's lame.
