Erskineville Kings

I watched Erskinville Kings night kind of with Martin and Brett although Martin slept for a lot and Brett had gone home for a lot. Jo had told Mil it was bad. And Mil had told me that Jo had told her that it was bad, so I thought it was going to be bad and almost didn't watch it. But I did. And I didn't think it was bad. I kind of loved it actually. It was pretty and thoughtful and greatly acted.

I was trying to work out who Lanny was. She looked really familiar and normally I can remember where I know actors from. It turns out she was on Wildside. Oh how I loved Wildside. Best Australian show ever. But she was also from GP. Amazing. GP was so cool. I used to watch it with mum and dad when I was little. That was in it way back in 1989, but I remember her so fondly. Her name was Yasmin. I think she is why I like the name Yasmin so much. She's also on Playschool. I reckon being on Playschool is a bit like owning a dog. You can pretty much assume that they won't be crazy.

Erskinville Kings though was very good. Half the movie was just arty shots of Newtown and Erskinville, but that was pleasant as well.

  1. Hi there

Found your page through a Google alert I have set up for EK and just wanted to say I’m really glad you watched it despite the bad press your mates gave it and that you liked it as well. Erskineville Kings is my all time fave film but that’s really only because I’m totally addicted to lil’ Barky aka Marty Denniss. :o)
