Frantic

I was feeling the need to put some music on. Some good programming music that would let me concentrate for a good hour. Then I read Michael Franti's lyrics on Sal's blog and ran out to put him on because I haven't listened to him for more than a week probably. But before I could put him on, my mobile rang. It was dad up in Byron having the time of his life the bastard. He said he was ringing just to wish us happy easter, but he was totally ringing to gloat. John Butler, Renee Geyer, James Brown and, of course, Michael Franti. The big man himself. He was saying how amazing Michael was, how the crowd just went crazy. Michael said he thought Byron was the best blues festival in the world. And dad was saying how it was even better than other years. We talked for a while, all the time me wanting to go and put Michael on even more. Eventually they had to hang up because Renee Geyer was starting to play, so I raced into the lounge room and searched frantically for Michael Franti. And I couldn't find him anyway. I tried to work out what could have happened to him. Then I remembered that dad had borrowed him so he could listen to him on the way up in the car. Bastard!
