Hello

Last night Jem and I got very slightly lost on the way from the car to the entrance to the Seymour Centre where we went to see Vusi. We walked into a funny area which had doors with stickers which said "Stage Door" and had dressing rooms and the like. There was a administrative-looking sort of fellow sitting behind a desk with a perspex defensive perimeter, who looked at us as we approached. I knew we should have turned around and slunk away, but part still hoped we'd find a shortcut to the main area. So instead of turning around Jem and I just stopped in the middle of the little entrance area looking nervously at the fortified man. Deciding that I needed to take charge of the situation I said to the man Hello..... we're not in the play, and quickly wished I hadn't, since there wasn't even a play showing. Undaunted by my blatant insanity the fortified man pointed at the door and said It's just back out that way and round the corner. Quick as you like, Jem and I reversed our course and, with only a few minute complications, arrived shortly after at the theatre.

Incidentily, Vusi (a singer, not and actor) was terrific.

  1. Lucky there is someone around like you take charge. That post made me laugh. You can be funny.
