Two Pixels

Update: I worked out why sometimes is two pixels and other times it's more. I has to do with home many things in the left hand column wrap to two lines.

A very slightly hax0red version if the Blogger homepage. There it's actually three pixels off, but you get the idea.

  1. I find this impossible.

There’s too much text in the blue area to have a mere 2px misalignment. There’s a full line of displacement in both IE6 and Firebird.

Would you be so kind as to produce a full screenshot?

  2. That’s weird. It’s changed to 7 pixels in my Firebird. I didn’t keep the whole screenshot from last night.

I just figured it out. The longer the left bar is, the more the centre bar floats down from the top. I reduced a few of the entries on the left that wrap to two lines, and I can recreate the two pixel funniness.

    I’ll post the screenshot.

  3. Left bar?
I only see a left column, and it can’t have any influence on the layout. It doesn’t change size or shape…unlinke the center column.

Tests confirm that it has to do with how wide the center column is, and as such how many lines the blue area takes up.

Of course you could always just log in and get rid of the blue thing and make the whole discussion moot. :)

  4. It is the left column. It depends how long the blog names are. Sometimes they take up two lines and sometimes they take up one.
