Tom and I went to Girl with a Pearl Earring. I was worried that I was going to find Scarlett Johansson unhelpfully sexy, but she wasn't at all. It was just an awesome film where nothing happened in an extraordinarily beautiful way. Like Tom said, every shot was like one painting after another. Absolutely gorgeous to look at........the film, the film.
Then I arrived home just in time to remember Popcorn Taxi and Bus 174 with Cathy and Andrew. Andrew suspected it might be the second best documentary of the year - after I told him how good Capturing the Friedmans was. And I think he could have guessed right. It was very good, and provoked much thought. The only downside being that I had to drive all the way into Glebe from Hornsby (and back) by myself. With was lonely and waste of petrol. I need more elitest theatre-going friends.
Oh and. One of the girls in my social science tutorial I only just realised this morning is also in my maths tutorial. Which almost definitely means she's doing the same double degree as me. I'll have to talk to her tomorrow during social science.
I would have liked to have come, but I’m glad I had a night at home.
