By population we resettle 10 times what the US does, and third more than Canada. Which means that Australia resettles significantly more refugees by population than any other country in the world. We still suck but. Everyone else just sucks more.

Update: Just Comment seems to disagree with this. They say Australia is 38th per capita. Although they're not clear if they're talkling about resettlement or just intake. Australia has a relatively low "intake", but it seems a very high resettlement rate. Intake is just the number of temporary refugees a country accepts. So I guess it depends a lot on what you think is most important. I reckon both are pretty important.

  1. Surely america would have more from south america etc that wouldn’t be recorded cos they slip over the border and dissapear into illegal workforces etc?

  2. Normal immigrants probably. But refugees it seems not. There aren’t that many really terrible governments in South America anymore. A lot would still come from Cuba though.
