Black Mask 2 was total shit, but so much fun. It was this ultra-B-grade film and plot with two hours of really well-choreographed fighting. It was glorious. Except they would stick all this random CGI and crazy light effects all through the fights, making it feel more like some strange drug-addled fantasy/horror film. But the actual goodness managed to penetrate through all the bollocks.

The new non-Jet Li Black Mask guy is really good. Not so much with the acting. Mostly just with the fighting, and that's the important thing. I need to see the original properly, because I suspect it was a lot better than this one even. I kept falling asleep in it, so I've never fully been able to understand Tom's excitement whenever he talks about it.
